Care centre in Viborg creates green well-being
Welfare with user involvement
Users of the centre were already involved in the planning phase, so they felt confident about creating the right framework and a safe home for the residents in the 100 care homes. Great emphasis was placed in the value base on both mental and physical well-being. The centre currently has a wide variety of offerings for the residents and the many people coming from outside, who use the centre’s facilities every day. The central location in Viborg city provides a lot of scope for activities and recreation. The surroundings offer city life, green areas and hiking trails. But there is green thinking indoors as well. A tall green plant wall bids guests welcome to the centre, which architecturally and aesthetically binds the 3 floors together.
The plant wall is positioned at the very entrance to the foyer. As soon as you enter the beautiful room you sense a pleasant, warm atmosphere and immediately feel welcome. When you sit down with a cup of coffee in the café, you notice the further benefits of a green plant wall: sounds are muffled, the interior climate is agreeable, and you relax nicely.
